Premier Veterinary Care leads the way in regenerative medicine with the Cutting Edge EVO Class IV Therapy Laser. With unparalleled power for maximum tissue penetration and dual probes that can accommodate any anatomical region, our regenerative laser therapy applications have expanded to treat an unprecedented number of conditions.

Laser therapy utilizes a therapeutic principle known as photobiomodulation, which is a phenomenon that occurs when LED energy directed into biological tissues trigger a therapeutic response. The result is pain control, accelerated healing rates, improved function, and reduced dependence on medication.
Cellular Stimulation
At the cellular level, therapy laser increases production of adenosine triphosphate, aka, ATP. ATP is the primary source of energy that powers the cell. Stimulating additional production of ATP subsequently energizes cellular metabolism to improve functionality to regenerative injured or damaged tissue.
Vasodliation
Therapy laser stimulates vasodilation, that is, increased diameter of blood and lymphatic vessels. On the artery/arteriole side, this increases the local infusion of freshly oxygenated blood that is also highly concentrated with healing cells. On the vein/venule side, this increases the draining away of oxygen depleted blood and spent healing cells.
The lymphatic system is essentially the sewage/water treatment plant of the body. All of the body’s tissues are bathed in a type of fluid called interstitial fluid. This fluid is constantly drained, cleaned by the local lymph nodes, and restored back to the tissues of the body. Thus, when the therapy laser dilates lymphatic vessels, the net effect is the reduction of swelling and removal of inflammatory debris and spent immune system cells. This creates reduction of pain, restoration of normal tissue, and faster healing rates.
Increased Nerve Conduction
Therapy laser stimulates and heals damaged or injured nerves. Even in local regions where there is permanent nerve damage, the laser can stimulate the creation of new nerve pathways to regain innervation to a given region. This makes laser therapy especially beneficial in cases where there is nerve compromised, such as chronic compressive spinal disc disease.
Local Pain Control
Therapy laser stimulates the release of endorphins, hormones that the body releases to provoke physiological effects, among them, pain reduction. This offers the patient pain control utilizing the body’s own endogenous hormones and less reliance on pain medication.
Indications
Below is a list of conditions that therapy laser is commonly used in:
- Spinal disc compression
- Arthritis
- Hair loss of unknown origin (Alopecia)
- Burns
- Contaminated wounds
- Post-surgical healing
- Pain reduction
- Faster healing rates
- Chronic recurring ear infections
- Chronic recurring sinusitis
- Lick granuloma
- Frequently full anal sacs
- Muscle sprains/strains
- Feline stomatitis
No Negative Side Effects
The best part about therapy laser is that it has no many positive health benefits with no potential for negative side effects. All medications have varying degrees of potential for negative side effects. Therapy laser thus enables less reliance on medications that can harm the patient, with no side effects of its own. In the end, all the laser does is enhance the body’s intrinsic mechanisms to do what it does best…heal itself.
